John Murphy is a qualified refrigeration technician and has achieved to date an Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering by night. John specialised in the manufacture of both Ground Sourced and Air sourced heat pumps and heat recovery systems. He has also worked in the maintenance of large scale air conditioning units and in building services.
Based in Clonakilty West Cork John has experience in the industry stretching back to 1988 and has been involved in the installation of well over 100 heat pumps throughout Ireland, initially through working for one of the leading Irish suppliers of geothermal systems and later working for himself. He has worked on a project featured on BBC’s Grand Designs – the renovation of an old church in Westport. Other notable projects that John was involved in were an extension to Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and the heating of an organic poly-tunnel to extend the growing season at Camp Hill, Omagh.
Ground sourced and air sourced heat-pumps, under-floor heating, solar panels, heat recovery ventilation, zoning and time controls, buffer and combination storage vessels are designed and installed by John C. Murphy in the West Cork Area.
