Renewable Heating System 2005
This Renewable heating system was completed in 2005 in West Cork. The 180 sq metre two story house is heated by a 12 Kw Ground sourced heat pump using a horizontal collector array.
The heating system has 3 zones; The down stairs living space has under floor heating, the sleeping space upstairs uses radiators and the domestic hot water comprises of a 300 litre tank.
A standard 3 zone digital control is used giving time and temperature control with domestic hot water priority. The Under floor has individual room thermostats with the bath room left open circuit. The hot tank is solar ready to allow for the addition of solar panels in the future.
