Renewable Heating System 2007
This renewable heating system was installed in 2007 in east Cork, a 230m² timber frame build consisting of 3 zones. The down stairs living Space used under floor heating, the up stairs sleeping area has radiators and the domestic hot water is served by a 300 litre tank.
The heat load is serviced by a 12 Kw air sourced heat pump via a 300 litre buffer vessel. The buffer is fitted with a solar coil and an evacuated tube solar panel is planned to be fitted at a later date allowing the solar gain to contribute to the space heating.
While the air sourced heat pump will have a smaller capacity during frosty nights the client finds that a short boost during the day makes up any short fall.
